Coaching Philosophy

 

Running is Tough- You are Tougher

At Run Tough, Run Strong my mission is to help you believe that you can do tough things. Run Tough, Run Strong offers the ability to become a better no runner no matter what your goal or experience level. I believe in working as a team with unlimited, genuine support, guidance and communication on every step (pun intended) of your journey. Whether it be your first 5K or your 20th full marathon my coaching is designed to help you reach your goals and feel strong doing so.

Persistence on Building Your Perfect Plan

Outside of being a running coach, I have spent the last 10+ years developing athletes of all ages and experience levels in the world of fitness. I know just how unique each individual runner can be- there is no one size fits all approach here! Other coaches may lock you into a set weekly mileage way in advance without seeing how your body responds. Your training week has to feel reasonable to you, so with your feedback and communication, we can adjust and tweak things as needed.

Becoming a Run Tough, Run Strong runner gives you custom training backed by science, but with flexibility to your real life. It is my top priority to unlock your true potential as a runner and build your confidence in realizing you are stronger than you think. Working with me will take the guesswork out of getting to race day feeling your best. As your coach I will help find that balance of pushing your limits to get stronger without overtraining and dealing with burnout.

Finding Strength

Besides just logging the miles I believe a strong body will get you to the start line of any race feeling good. Strength training is definitely a component to your training weeks. Whether you have access to a gym or we’re working with just body weight- adding this in will provide huge benefits to your fitness and help prevent injury along the way.
